Unpleasant

Not that being pleasant is all there is - but in all honesty I really didn't like this story. I know Anthony Trollope is a writer to be reckoned with, but the film was slow and unredeeming. Good performances of nasty people, and I guess that says something.

You're going to see some nasty people in charge of things. Not unlike the people we see now; I guess the story is timely in that sense.

But still.

I can't recommend it. If you are like me, you will never watch it more than one time.
