An awesome series!

This series is very worthy. It keeps you interested till the end. I didn't want it to end but I guess it had to. It you like Star Trek or other futuristic space shows this is defiantly for you!

From Promise to Fizzle

Show started out and cruised for a while with a promising story arc and then fizzled into a pathetic directionless inconsistent jumble toward the end. Plot arc was abandonned mid-slipstream and characters dispatched into near oblivion almost as if they had never existed in the first place. The story arc had been dumped for an episodic romp into pointlessness.



The producers sold it down the river and then used that as a reason to kill it. It could have been a classic. The Magog, and the transdimensional translucent entity that propelled them, were brilliant as antagonists and yet, ultimately, squandered for no good reason. It was at the foot of the altar of this squandering that Rev was dispatched into some vague otherness and forgotten. It was at the foot of this altar that the complex Tier was written out as a defiant afternoon snack for the entity.

Once again, TV producers have shown themselves unworthy of authentic creative challenge. I would not accept this box set if it was given to me. My disappointment is too deep. The true price exacted by mediocrity has absolutely nothing to do with money.

Still a great show!

I may be a little biased, but, I love this show. Have since it came out and still watch it, now that I have the whole set in one box. I haven't watched the whole box set, but had started Season 5, and the quality is great and I love the fact that it is widescreen. The only thing I miss is the inserts from the other sets, which gave the plot line and the index title. Other than that I really have no complaints about the set. I did wait for it to go down in price before I bought it, though. Its all in one case, so no more looking for each separate season...
